Method Development

Dash can custom-develop bioanalytical and biomarker assays for your unique needs using a variety of assay techniques. No project is too early or too large. Our exceptional scientific team can work with you to understand your project goals and custom-design and develop assays to meet your objectives.

We can also rapidly transfer existing assay methods or vendor kits to our automated platform, giving your assay consistency and scale you won’t find from other CROs. We are able to transfer methods onto our platform in just a few days with simple fixed pricing and guaranteed results.

Method Validation

Dash can validate any assay on our platform to meet GLP/GCP compliance, suitable for GLP tox and clinical studies. Our unique automated approach to bioanalysis locks the design and parameters of your assay so that it is executed consistently throughout validation and the life of your study, taking risk off the table.

At Dash, we built quality and compliance into our platform from day 1. Our custom-built LIMS system was designed from the ground up to drive robotic automation with GLP/GCP compliance. All equipment and software used in validated assays are GxP-validated, have complete audit trails, and are operated under strict change controls according to FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.

ELISA/MSD

Dash’s ligand binding assay (LBA) platform performs ELISA and MSD assays in a highly consistent yet flexible manner, delivering speed, quality, and scalability. With integrated plate washing, plate reading, incubating, and shaking, we can execute virtually any LBA to support applications such as PK, PD, ADA, biomarkers, and cytokine panels.

Our LBA platform is configured to execute MSD and all types of ELISA (sandwich, direct, indirect, competitive) with colorimetric, luminescence, and ECL readouts in both 96 and 384-well plate formats. We can develop fully custom ELISA assays or rapidly implement existing vendor kits. We have also pre-developed MSD kits for common analytes, such as cytokine panels.

LC-MS

As Dash, we leverage the state-of-the-art Sciex Triple Quad 7500+ to perform LC-MS analysis of countless compounds, from small molecules to peptides. Our LC-MS platform is suitable for a variety of applications such as PK, PD, metabolite profile, clinical biomarker quantitation, and many more.

Like all of our assays, we are focused on speed and scalability. For our LC-MS workflows, we have built high-throughput plate-based sample preparation methods, including SPE, SLE, PPT/PLR, and hybrid capture. We also leverage ultra-high pressure chromatography and smaller columns, which allow us to perform 2-5 minute sample analyses without sacrificing resolution.

qPCR

We provide extremely high-throughput qPCR assays using automated liquid handling and Thermo QuantStudio systems. The platform is capable of analyzing RNA, DNA, or antibody-oligonucleotide conjugate samples across a wide array of PK, PD, and biomarker use cases.

When combined with our automated tissue homogenization and nucleic acid extraction preparation methods, we have the capacity to analyze thousands of samples per day, scaling seamlessly from your early research studies through your large late-stage clinical studies.

Sample Prep

Dash supports a wide array of biomatrices and sample preparation procedures. We can custom-develop sample preparation methods for your unique sample needs, including incredibly complex procedures, which we would develop on our automated liquid handlers.

We have already pre-developed common sample preparation methods. We have automated tissue homogenization on a Omni Prep 96 system, which allows us to process soft organ tissues (liver, spleen, kidney, lung, muscle) in a highly consistent and scalable manner. We also have automated bead-based nucleic acid extraction on a Thermo Kingfisher, with support for numerous extraction kits depending on your needs.

Frequently asked questions

  • Dash works with both small and large-molecule modalities. We can leverage multiple capabilities across our bioanalysis platform depending on your specific analyte and goal.

  • No. We can either transfer existing established assays onto our platform or develop a novel assay from scratch, including performing research and sourcing critical reagents and consumables. Wherever you are in your assay design, we’re here to support you.

  • If you pay for the development of an assay, you own the IP for that assay. Our method development reports include all relevant information required to perform the assay in your own lab or with a different CRO. All IP related to our automation platform, however, is owned by Dash.

  • No. The benefits of automation go beyond just scale. With our automated approach, you get consistent, high quality results every time, whether that’s 1 sample or 1,000 samples.

  • Yes. We are continuously expanding our platform with new capabilities based on the needs of our customers. If you are interested in a technique that we don’t currently offer, please contact us to discuss how we could potentially partner to bring it on board.

Put Dash to the test.

Curious if Dash is the right fit? Let us prove it. We’ll take on development work with a guarantee that you will only pay if we can make the assay run on our platform and meet your requirements. See what modern bioanalysis can do.
